Activating Buzan's iMindMap
Welcome to Buzan’s iMindMap manual activation page.
This page is for customers who are experiencing difficulties accessing our server and registering their
purchase of iMindMap. Follow these step-by-step instructions for a quick and easy activation.
To ensure that iMindMap is secure and is only registered by authorised users, we have a systematic
activation procedure in place to safeguard the software’s use. Unfortunately this security process
has been blocked by either a firewall or the proxy server settings on your system. To ensure that
you fully register and activate the product, we ask you to kindly follow the below instructions.
This four step process should take under five minutes to complete.
Step 1. Generating Your License File
Firstly, you will need to locate your iMindMap serial number. You can find this in your
registration email from payments@buzanonline.com which you would have received when purchasing iMindMap.
Please copy your serial number from your purchase email and paste it in the box below:
NB. If you type in the number yourself please check that all the characters are correct and it does not contain any spaces.

Once you have read the below instructions, please click on the ‘Submit’ button and your license file will be generated.
The following window will appear when clicking on ‘Submit’. Please click on ‘Save’.
Save this file [unactivated.license] to a safe temporary location, such as your desktop.
Once you have saved this file please make sure that you do NOT open it as it may corrupt.
Step 2. Using Your License File
Now your license file is saved, please attempt to run iMindMap [you can do this via the icon on your desktop
or Start > Programs > Buzan’s iMindMap]. The Licensing Assistant should open.
You will then be presented with three activation options; please select ‘I have a valid license file'.
You will now be asked to locate your license file. Click on the ‘…’ button to browse your machine for your
imm.license file that you have just saved [probably to your desktop].
Click and select the unactivated.license file [so that it is highlighted]. Next click on ‘Open’.
Once you have browsed your computer and selected the unactivated.license file, please click on 'Finish'.
You will now be asked how you wish to activate. Select 'Activate Offline' before clicking on the 'Next' button.
The next screen that you will be see will be the License Activation Assistant again which will present you with two pieces of information.

Step 3. Generating Your Personal License
To create your personal activated license you need to enter your Activation Key. Please type this in carefully: check that it is correct,
it consists of 25 digits and does not contain any spaces.
NOTE: If you are not next to your computer, and you have had to go to another location to perform Step 2,
please also ensure you have re-entered your serial number into the box in Step 1.
Activation Key:
Once you click on the ‘Submit’ button below, the following window will appear so you can save your personal license file [activated.license]. Please click on ‘Save’.
Again save the license file to a safe temporary location such as your desktop.
Step 4. Activating and Running iMindMap
Within iMindMap's 'License Activation Assistance' window, click on the 'Next button'.
Browse to the location where you saved activated.license. Click and select the activated.license
file [so that it is highlighted]. Next click on ‘Open'.
Finally select on 'Finish' to activate and run iMindMap.
Finished
Your copy of iMindMap should now be activated. You can delete the license files you saved a few minutes ago.
