Buzan's iMindMap for Education Launched

A bespoke version of Buzan’s iMindMap has now been launched for teachers and learners across the globe.

Buzan's iMindMap for Education unites a creative thinking tool that harnesses the brain friendliness and visual appeal of highly proven Mind Mapping techniques for teaching and learning, and resources for both teachers and students. Its flexibility makes it suitable for all subjects and age groups and it can be used in whole class settings on an Interactive Whiteboard or for group/individual study.

The product comes with all the same features and functions as our standard iMindMap program as well as a set of teaching and learning resources, including:

    -  A Sample library of curriculum specific Mind Maps
      Example maps provided across different subject areas

    -  A selection of template maps
      Template maps provided for students – including subject relevant maps and more general maps e.g. Science experiments; SWOT analysis
      A Lesson Plan template map is also provided for teachers

    -  A comprehensive teachers’ guide [PDF]
      Practical guidance on how to integrate Mind Mapping into the classroom to teach the curriculum. This is full of ideas on how to teach using this technique and how to effectively deliver the curriculum. It also offers advice for pre and post lesson tasks as well a how students can use it to improve their learning and understanding of topics

The product has also been nominated for The Inclusive Resource for Secondary Classrooms Award in the NASEN and TES Special Education Needs Book Awards 2007 [UK]. This was the only software product to be nominated in its category.
